He’s a fictitious character who works at A&E and “hijacks” the network’s communications creating a series of disruptive on-air and online viral spots to disseminate clues to help solve a murder mystery. Multiple platforms, including viral and guerrilla outreach, help get the message out. Those who answer the call-to-action, ‘r u game?’ are directed to the Tipster’s website where they engage in an Alternate Reality Game (ARG) and put the pieces of the puzzle together. This campaign for A&E Television Network’s hit show Crime 360, on A&E’s Crime and Investigation channel, launched in five countries and quickly spread around the web thrilling fans everywhere.
